Happy Birthday!!!!

My mom is turning 50 this weekend! Actually her birthday & Father's Day are on the same day.

I designed 2 cards for her, 1 was a money holder card & the other was a regular Happy 50th Birthday card.

I haven't finished the 50th Birthday card, but I did manage to complete the money holder card.
Her dream vacation is to go to Hawaii, the plan was to actually go for her 50th but there has been a slight change in plans so she hopefully is planning to go next year.

I'm giving her money so the money holder card was a great idea.  I got the design idea from TIffany Pennington again. Yes, I love her YouTube video tutorials.

The money that will go in the card of course is to go towards her trip, so I used a Hawaii theme.  I picked up a Hawaii themed sticker by Recollections and a Hawaii themed rubber stamp set by Hampton Art that I found in the Michaels clearance section.

I hope you like it & I hope she enjoys whats inside.

New Baby Card..

Here is the new baby card I designed for my friend...

Used the hand & foot brads to add some character w/ the saying

Baby Shower Candy Buffet

Went to a baby shower yesterday for a friend who is expecting w/ in the next month.  I was commissioned to do the Candy Buffet.

I designed the invites which I posted earlier, so I just decided to piggy back on that design. Her color scheme was brown & green & I wasn't sure what the "theme" was.

I designed brown & green onesie candy labels. I stamped them with baby footprints, a bottle, & a safety pin. I created faux stitching using a white gel pen. My friend loved the designed, but personally I preferred the brown labels as opposed to the green ones.

I designed the names using plain white card stock using my shape scissors to cut them out. I sponged the edges of the names to give the white card stock some character.

I had some leftover paper so I created 10 inch onesie's & designed the name of the candy station.

I got plenty of compliments and can't wait to do the next one.

Olivia's Pretty in Pink First Communion Bites

My boss approached me with a request for some special Sweet Bites. A family member was celebrating her First Holy Communion and she wanted to mark the special occasion and chose to order Sweet Bites!

She intially wanted me to make Bibles, but those didn't pan out like I wanted. I'll definitely be practicing because they would've been great.   I decided on my Plan B & came up with a pretty pink alternative. (Pink is her favorite color).

I found some Pink Holy Crosses at the cake supply store and decided to apply those to the top of a regular Sweet Bite.

I was pretty satisfied with the outcome.. I alternated the topping colors between Pink & White

Mother's Day

Sunday is Mother's Day!!!!!!!!!

In the past I spent at least a hour inside Hallmark reading & fussing over cards for a rather extensive list of people who I adore as "Mothers"my usual total would be around $65.00 that's minus coupons/discounts.  This year I skipped my usual Mothers day greeting card shopping trip and decided to make my own. I've been working on these for about a week now.  Right in the middle I decided to set up my craft desk I got from Ikea and try and organize my scrappin/stamping items so that's why it's taken so long.

I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome and hope that the recipients like them as well.

Bachelorette Bites

I received a call from a dear friend asking me to create something for a bachelorette party she was throwing.  I didn't really want to do the usual Sweet Bites. I actually tried to do Wedding Dress Bites, but they didn't turn out as I hoped & I'm a stickler when it comes to presentation.

I ended up coming up with something that I thought looked quite elegant although I wasn't sure what kind of bachelorette party it would be, LOL.

I created the tags using good ole Microsoft Word and some free clip art that I found through Goole. The circles were cut using my Cricut machine, and I cut the crescent shape on the tag.

The Sweet Bites are a dress or blouse; whichever you prefer with a "Pearl necklace".

Baby Shower Invites

A friend who is pregnant, was having a hard time trying to find the invites for her shower.  I know exactly how she felt, I recently gave my sister a baby shower and finding cute, affordable invites was very hard.   I've dabbled in the scrapbooking world a little but I hadn't really been focusing on it.   I have a million pictures and hundreds of dollars in supplies, but it had been collecting dust until recently.

After discovering Etsy, my interest into scrapping & stamping peaked tremendously! I was YouTube-ing & came across a set of invites that were too cute. They were made by Tiffany Pennington. She made some shower invites for her sister that were too cute!  The link is to her video tutorial. I subscribe to her channel and she's given me some great tips for scrapping & stamping.

I thought I would try the concept, taking a couple design tips from her and using my own creativity as well. I must say I'm satisfied with what I came up with.  I hope my friend likes them as well.  Her colors are green & chocolate, I tried alternating between the two when I designed them. I put my Cricut Expression & various stamp sets to use.
